Katie’s Knee Surgery Patient Story
Katie here came to us following a knee surgery requiring months of rehab for her goal of returning to running track and cross country. She worked hard from the immediate post-op limitations all the way up to returning for her Junior year track season. Katie worked hard to get back to her running form and was a happy camper to get back to her happy place. We utilized a return to running protocol with calculated progression of adding distance and speed work. Her goals were to return to her main events of 1 and 2 mile distances, along with a few other cameos in the 800 meter and 4×800 meter relay team. She may be part jet fuel because by 8 months post-op she was able to crush her goal of sub 5:30 in the mile!! She was also named Chopticon Most Outstanding Player for Track for 2023 season!
